You are invited to attend Industry Day at the 2009 World Congress on Privacy, Security, Trust and the Management of e-Business conference (Congress 2009) on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at the Delta Brunswick in Saint John, NB, Canada.
Industry Day will bring the local business community together with regional, national, and international representatives of the public sector, private sector, academia, and the research community to jointly explore how regional economies can leverage the power and potential of
e-Business.
The theme for this one-day workshop is “Leveraging e-Business in Regional Economies,” and will feature keynotes addresses, invited talks, and panel discussions. Participating in Industry Day will give attendees an understanding of how this region can build business capacity and how small, medium, and large private sector organizations can leverage e-Business in order to better position themselves to thrive in the future.
Industry Day will provide attendees with an exciting opportunity to explore and identify issues, challenges, research directions, gaps, and solutions related to topics and technologies applicable to all sectors of the economy including: workforce generation, data mining and knowledge discovery, network and information privacy and security, critical infrastructure protection, resilience and reliability of supply, megaproject security and risk management, physical security, Web 2.0, social networks, mobile commerce, and trust in e-commerce.
Congress 2009 is organized by the University of New Brunswick (UNB) and McMaster University’s e-Business Research Centre (MeRC) in cooperation with the National Research Council of Canada Institute for Information Technology (NRC-IIT).
